Beetmol Flow

A highly palatable, British liquid with high levels of rapidly fermentable sugar based energy. It has a distinct aroma that is very acceptable to ruminants and superior protein levels and flow characteristics to straight Beet Molasses.

What are you trying to achieve?

Drive intake

Highly palatable sweet liquid.

Masks less palatable feed ingredients. Stimulates total feed intake, including home produced feeds, thus lowering feed costs.

Increase milk yield

A source of rapidly fermentable sugar energy.

Balances rapidly digestible energy sources such as cereals and low protein forages.

Reduce feed costs

Can be a cost effective alternative to feeding low protein dry feeds.

Reduce ration sorting and minimise dust

A binding liquid.

Livestock consume a more balanced ration, reducing the risk of acidosis and improving feed efficiency. Less dust reduces feed waste, improves the working environment and feed intakes.

Flowable at lower temperatures

Beetmolflow has a standardised lower dry matter than Beet Molasses.

Improved flowability and handling.

Flexibility in feeding

Stores up to 12 months.

Long shelf life.

Produced from British beet in the UK.

A short and local supply chain creates peace of mind and stringent quality assurance.

The predicted responses (benefits) assume that the specified nutrient, physical or structural dietary components are limiting livestock performance in the current ration.

Recommended daily feed rates (per head basis)

Beetmolflow can be fed as part of a TMR, within a blend or as a straight liquid by pouring onto other feeds or via ball feeders.

Availability, handling and storage

Beetmolflow is delivered in 10, 20 and 28t load sizes in 28 tonne bulk articulated tankers, all year around. It is only available within a 150 mile radius of Newark.

Beetmolflow has a specific gravity of 1.38kg/litre or a density of 725 litres per tonne.

Tanks should be built to hold and dispatch bulk liquids. They should be well maintained and cleaned out regularly to prevent the build up of sediment. A minimum 4-inch diameter pipe work is advised to handle Beetmolflow.

Additional information

Method of production

Beetmolflow is a co-product from the sugar beet processing industry. After dissolving sugars out of the sliced beet at high temperature, the crystals of sugar settle out as the liquid cools leaving a dark brown, viscous liquid. Prior to despatch additional water and / or other products of beet molasses co-products are added to improve the product handling characteristics.

Quality Assurance

Beetmolflow is a FEMAS-assured product. Beetmolflow ((Sugar) beet molasses) is listed under number 4.1.4 in the EU Catalogue of Feed Materials.

Legal disclaimer

Suggested feeding rates are produced as a guide only and many other factors may have an overriding effect on animal response; no performance guarantee can be given. Rations should be carefully balanced for energy and protein, contain sufficient forage to maintain rumen function and be fortified with an appropriate vitamin and mineral supplement. Animals must have constant access to clean water.
